On this day, the community comes together to support causes we care about- and whether you give a little or a lot, it adds up to an incredible day of support for the nonprofits that meet needs, enrich our culture, and build a strong community for all of us. As a nonprofit participant in this day of giving, CWS Harrisonburg is inviting community members to a series of special activities and events to celebrate 35 years of welcome and the immense contributions of refugees, immigrants, and asylum-seekers who have chosen to live and work in the Shenandoah Valley. Join CWS and NewBridges Immigrant Resource Center for happy hour from 2-7 pm. This will be a collaborative fundraising event with live music, guest speakers, and the opportunity to mingle and learn more about how we are working together to create welcome in our community.
