I’ve been entertaining in and around Staunton for several years now. For around 4 years, I provided the live music most every Saturday night at Barren Ridge Vineyards. At this time I’m a regular at Aioli, in downtown Staunton and I’m looking to expand my music schedule. Working solo, I sing and play acoustic guitar, mostly centered on folk-rock tunes by the likes of James Taylor, Bob Dylan, Eagles, Gordon Lightfoot, etc. I also cover several Beatles tunes, along with some classic country of the Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings style. Mix in some old standards and a few originals and that pretty well covers it. If you wanted tasting room music, I could easily cover that for you solo. But for your main event-type of entertainment I suspect you likely need more than one guy on acoustic.

I also have a friend, Danny Dolinger, whom I work with in a duo, with Danny on electric guitar and adding lots of sweet harmonies. Danny is a consummate musician who has played all over the country. I can easily see our duo fitting nicely at Rockbridge. The two of us together (The Larry and Danny Show) bring a bigger, fuller sound that can expand to suit a wide variety of musical performance opportunities. We’ve played at the Farmer’s Market now for many years, at Newtown Bakery, on the stage at Gypsy Hill, at Barren Ridge Vineyards, and at numerous other venues. As needed, we can pretty easily draft other musicians to expand the band for an even richer sound.
