May’s Cask for a Cause will be benefiting The Save Lucy Campaign, which is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness of white-nose syndrome and its devastating impact on North American bats.
The Save Lucy Campaign was created to raise awareness by:
-Engaging young people to take action on behalf of vanishing bats;
-Empowering young people by providing tools and information with which to effect change and action;
-Providing accurate and timely information to concerned citizens, especially those who normally have no voice in wildlife management decisions;
-Providing conservation education to persons of all ages and abilities;
-Supporting research and other projects that protect bat populations threatened by white nose syndrome through public awareness, funding, and captive bat management.
The Save Lucy Campaign hopes to have a live bat in attendance (weather permitting) and will have a Wheel of Bat Knowledge to test your knowledge. Find out more at:
Mashita will be out serving up their delicious Korean inspired specials, steamed buns, and ssam, and Randy Black will be playing a FREE show starting at 7:30.
Come out to help out this wonderful cause by buying a pint from their cask and participating in the silent auction for the framed poster for the event. All proceeds from the cask and the silent auction will go to The Save Lucy Campaign and their cause.
